Pedro URIA RECIO is a senior marketing leader, highly experienced in data analytics, Artificial Intelligence, product marketing and P&L management.
In Axiata (2015-present), a digital & telecoms conglomerate in 8 countries in South Asia and ASEAN, Pedro built from scratch a marketing transformation team who drove revenue-generating projects across all business units. By expanding this unit to a team of 50 digital, analytics and marketing professionals, Pedro eventually became the Group’s Head of Analytics (Head of Axiata Analytics) with a focus on marketing analytics, digital growth hacking as well as new revenue streams over 11 operating companies.
Prior to this role, Pedro was a management consultant in the technology and banking industries at McKinsey & Company (2011-15) in Santiago (Chile) and in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), where he worked on marketing, analytics, digitization and transformational programs.
Pedro also worked in IT architecture in Veolia Water (2006-09) in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, as well as in Research & Development in France Telecom in Paris (2004-06).
Pedro holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (2009-11). Pedro is also an avid keynote speaker. In 2019, Pedro is speaking in conferences in France, Chicago, Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Sri Lanka, Philippines. In his free time, Pedro is passionate about nature, running and literature.
